About Us

Why We Started Horse & Harmony

Horse & Harmony was created from a shared vision of connection, growth, and healing through the unique bond between people, horses, and nature. For Moshe, horses marked a new direction in life. Drawn to their quiet strength and sensitivity, he trained as a therapeutic riding instructor with the goal of building a welcoming, professional ranch where every person could feel seen, supported, and at ease. For Aliza, the journey began after discovering the field of therapeutic riding through a family connection. Inspired by the impact horses can have on people’s emotional and personal growth, she pursued professional training and soon found herself deeply committed to this work. She later expanded her studies into trauma and PTSD-focused animal-assisted approaches, working with horses, dogs, and other animals. This broadened perspective continues to shape the way she supports individuals today through both riding and ground-based experiences. Together, Moshe and Aliza shared a clear vision: to create a place where people could step away from pressure and routine, and reconnect with themselves in a calm, natural environment alongside animals. When the opportunity came, they took it. The Horse & Harmony ranch in Moshav Luzit was built from the ground up—transforming an open piece of land into a living space for horses, farm animals, and a growing community. Today, Horse & Harmony welcomes children, teens, adults, families, and soldiers. Through therapeutic riding, ground-based activities, and gentle interaction with animals, participants are given space to build confidence, strengthen resilience, develop life skills, and experience meaningful connection. At Horse & Harmony, we believe that healing and growth begin in connection—to a horse, to nature, to others, and to oneself. Every person, every animal, and every moment here is part of that ongoing story.

What is Therapeutic Riding?

Therapeutic riding combines horseback activities with skilled guidance to support emotional regulation, social development, confidence, and physical coordination. Through the unique partnership between horse and rider, participants develop resilience, life skills, and self-confidence in a safe and supportive environment. Each session is tailored to the individual's unique needs, goals, and abilities.
